The number was not chosen at random: It pays tribute to 22 February, the date on which Ebba Andersson won her medal in the first-ever women’s 50 km event in the history of the Olympic Games. This historic victory, regarded as one of the greatest achievements of her career, marked a turning point in the history of women’s cross-country skiing. For every watch sold, a portion of the profits will be donated to the Swedish Ski Association’s foundation Årets Alla på snö-ledare 2027. The fund supports the development of young coaches and leaders in winter sports in Sweden through grants dedicated to training and leadership. Through this initiative, Certina and its ambassador aim to extend their commitment beyond the sporting arena and give this exclusive edition even greater significance.
