Un mouvement de montre automatique est entraîné par un rotor. Les mouvements du bras et du poignet actionnent le rotor qui à son tour remonte le ressort de barillet. L’énergie est produite de façon continue, aucune pile n’est requise. La précision de marche dépend d’un processus de fabrication rigoureux et du réglage d’origine – ainsi que du mode de vie de l’utilisateur.

In addition to being highly accurate, the innovative Powermatic 80 automatic movement has a power reserve of up to 80 hours – almost twice as long as comparable models. This means that a fully wound watch left unworn for three days – for example, over the weekend – will still not need resetting, as the Powermatic 80 mechanism continues to keep time.
