The DS-2 Chronograph Automatic: On to new heights!

14th April 2023

Higher, faster, further: Our new chronograph is the latest edition of a model that set new standards back in 1970. Along with carrying over its predecessor's sporty sense of adventure, the DS-2 Chronograph Automatic also features a stunning tonneau shape and high-contrast aesthetic. The 2023 model is powered by a cutting-edge automatic calibre with an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring.

DS-2 Chronograph Automatic

In 1970, the forerunner of the DS-2 Chronograph Automatic accompanied a Japanese expedition team climbed Mount Everest. That’s not all: The DS-2 Chronolympic graced Yuichiro Miura's wrist as he hurtled down the mountain on skis for 2,000 metres – at speeds of up to 160 km/h. The daring adventure was immortalised in an Oscar-winning documentary "The Man Who Skied Down Everest". The watch endured all challenges with distinction.

The new edition is in no way inferior to its historical predecessor in terms of style and reliability. The DS-2 Chronograph Automatic features an automatic calibre with a 68-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring. The 1970s model directly inspires its tonneau-shaped stainless steel case middle. The dark blue dial is adorned with striking indices and hands coated with Super-LumiNova® as well as yellow, white and red elements, which complement the dark blue textile strap with yellow stitching. A model with a yellow gold-coloured PVD coating and a dark green dial is available as an alternative – also in the well-known dynamic design.
