Nivachron™ is an advanced titanium-based alloy developed to provide mechanical movements with a higher and more consistent level of performance. Used for the balance spring, this material is engineered to counter the external forces that typically disrupt accuracy, and its advanced composition ensures long-term stability even under demanding conditions. Its structure offers excellent resistance to magnetic influence, as well as shocks, aging, and temperature variations, factors that often affect long-term precision. Lightweight and exceptionally stable, Nivachron™ helps ensure a smoother, more reliable rate over time. Certina uses this technology in selected automatic calibres to strengthen their precision and ensure stable timekeeping in everyday wear.
