A natural extension of CERTINA’s evolving line of high-quality chronographs, the new DS-2 Flyback adds one-button resetting to a premium timepiece equipped with a highly accurate PrecidriveTM quartz movement. Through a handsome colour trimmed push-button at 10 o’clock, this sporty yet very elegant watch also provides a very useful split-seconds “rattrapante” function, making it easy to time several events simultaneously.
A first glance at the DS-2 Chronograph Flyback makes clear the quality and character of this impressive new timepiece. The beautifully finished 43mm stainless steel case is home to an exclusive ETA Precidrive™ movement that brings together a versatile complement of standard chronograph features, such as 12-hour, 30-min. and central 60-sec. functions, with an additional small seconds display. What makes the new DS-2 unique however, is its “flyback” feature for quick resetting (start-restart), accessible at all times through the standard right-hand push-buttons. A further sporty, colour trimmed push-button at 10 o’clock provides a rattrapante/split-seconds function, and allows its wearer to time simultaneous events with ease.
Behind the black bezel with tachymeter scale and rounded sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces, the black high-contrast dial tells the time with impressive clarity, thanks to crisp white detailing and Superluminova treatment on both HM hands and indices. Safely guarded by the well-known Double Security DS concept and water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m), the watch is also equipped with a highly practical EOL (end-of-life) feature, to advise you of any forthcoming battery change.
Two main models are available, with coloured central sweep-second hand, 12-hour and 30-min. chronograph hands and an eye-catching coloured band on the rattrapante/split-seconds button in matching red or CERTINA green, according to the model selected. Both versions have a decidedly premium feel and are equipped with a date window at 6 o’clock, and a sporty and gorgeously finished five-row stainless steel bracelet with contrasting brushed/polished links as well as a twin push-button butterfly buckle. A further two models are also available, fitted with a leather strap. The case back is adorned with the traditional CERTINA turtle-shell emblem and the crown tip monogrammed with the letters “DS”, as a reminder of CERTINA’s long history of absolute reliability and precision.
