September 3 was an exciting date in Poland’s sport-watch circles, with the official launch of the DS Podium Valjoux Robert Kubica Limited Edition series at the Olympic Center in Warsaw.

Many attendees were on hand for this special Certina PR Event full of colour and good cheer, and both the formal and informal parts of the outing aroused a great deal of interest. In particular, all enjoyed watching Adrian Bosshard and Tomasz Kruk try their hand at a trackside-style tire change on a Formula 1 car which had been specially brought in for the occasion. Smiles equally found their way around the hall, as Robert Kubica explored his watchmaking skills, and removed links from the bracelet of a Certina timepiece. Adrian presented to Robert a new DS Podium Valjoux bearing the number 1984 in the special limited edition series, the number corresponding to his year of birth. Adrian confirmed with a smile that the number 1 unit in the series will await Robert’s first-time podium finish.
