Each year, the Warsaw event gets better. For a thrilling start to the autumn season, a go-kart track was set up at Warsaw's Old Airport on September 1, 2009 and Certina organised an important press conference with Robert Kubica. Like last year, the event moderator was famous TV sports journalist Maciek Kurzajewski, well known for his good cheer. After a press conference with Robert, Certina President Adrian Bosshard and Brand Manager Certina Poland Tomasz Kruk, a short film was shown about the new Certina DS Action Limited Edition Robert Kubica model, and then the first watch of the 4000-unit series (worldwide) was presented to the ace driver by Adrian Bosshard.
Robert then did a few warm-up laps on the improvised track and set a fast, reference time for others to beat during the event. A few of the journalists were chosen by lucky draw to participate in a race, with the top three drivers receiving a gift Certina watch personally handed to them by Robert Kubica. An open question period followed, and for the rest of the afternoon, customers were invited to join in and talk with Robert, and pick up a coveted picture and autograph. There was strong Certina presence throughout, to highlight its new DS Action watch.
